Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong visits the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs

On July 22, on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quang Phuong visited the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs.

At the grounds of the Association, Vice President of the National Assembly, Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quang Phuong offered incense to President Ho Chi Minh , recalling his advice: “The blood of the soldiers has dyed the revolutionary flag redder. The sacrifices of the martyrs have prepared the country for the blossoming of independence and the fruit of freedom. Therefore, the Government and the people must repay these loyal sons in a worthy way.”

Lieutenant General Hoang Khanh Hung, Chairman of the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs, shared about the results of the Association's activities.

Sharing about the results of the Association's activities, Lieutenant General Hoang Khanh Hung, Chairman of the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs, said that over the past 15 years, the Association's organization has continuously developed: the whole country has 21 associations and branches at the provincial and city levels and nearly 7,000 members nationwide.

“Looking back over the past 15 years of operation, the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs and its organizations nationwide have been and are an extended arm connecting the Party, the State and the families of martyrs; a trusted address for martyrs’ relatives in providing and connecting information to search for martyrs’ remains and implementing the Party and Government ’s policies for martyrs and their relatives,” Lieutenant General Hoang Khanh Hung stated.

The President of the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs presented the Association's Commemorative Medal to Vice President of the National Assembly, Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quang Phuong.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quang Phuong highly appreciated the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs for successfully fulfilling its principles and objectives. “The Association’s activities have transmitted and multiplied patriotism, comradeship, solidarity, mutual love, and precious traditions of the nation, not only for today’s generation but also for future generations,” Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong emphasized.

Acknowledging the proposals and recommendations of the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong also agreed that it is necessary to place the Association's activities in the overall context of Association organizations and state management agencies. With the development of digital transformation and digital technology, after establishing the Martyr Gene Bank, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly hopes to find more martyrs in the near future.
