Promoting heroic traditions, firmly stepping into the new era

Exactly 80 years ago, the People's Public Security force was born in the boiling atmosphere of the August Revolution in 1945. Along with the glorious history of the nation, the Hue City Public Security has constantly trained, fought and matured.

Entering the period of innovation, the City Police, with its core role, has focused on advising Party committees and authorities at all levels to widely and effectively launch the movement of All People Protecting National Security; being the vanguard force on the front of maintaining political security, social order and safety. With a proactive and creative spirit, the Police force promptly detected and handled a series of complicated cases, broke many major projects, and eradicated dangerous criminal gangs. At the same time, it has proactively transformed itself strongly in administrative reform, digital transformation, and force modernization, taking the lead in streamlining the organization, making it more efficient and effective.

Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh presented certificates of merit from the Chairman of the City People's Committee to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements.

With those outstanding achievements, Hue City Police was awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces, 2 Ho Chi Minh Medals, 3 Military Exploit Medals and hundreds of Medals of various types. In addition, 15 groups and 29 individuals were awarded or posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces and thousands of other groups and individuals were commended and praised by all levels, sectors and the People...

On behalf of the city's leaders, Secretary of the City Party Committee Le Truong Luu commended and acknowledged the achievements, contributions and sacrifices of generations of officers and soldiers of the City Police over the past 80 years.

In the coming time, Hue City will continue to be the place chosen to organize major political events and festivals of the country; and there will continue to be mechanisms to call for and attract investment in economic development, thereby posing increasingly high requirements for ensuring security and order to serve socio-economic development. Secretary of the City Party Committee Le Truong Luu requested the City Police to continue to promote the heroic, resilient, and indomitable tradition of generations of cadres and soldiers; continue to unite, strive, train, and compete to achieve more outstanding achievements and feats.

In particular, Hue City Police need to proactively grasp the situation, promptly advise the Party Committee and the government to deploy solutions to ensure national security, social order and safety; control and reduce crime, maintain a peaceful environment to serve economic development and foreign affairs. At the same time, promote the application of science and technology, digital transformation, administrative procedure reform; improve the effectiveness of state management of social order. The immediate task for the Hue City Police is to absolutely ensure security and safety for activities celebrating the 80th National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) and important events. The most important of these is the 17th Hue City Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, towards the 14th National Party Congress.

In recognition of the feats and outstanding achievements over the 80-year journey of building, fighting and growing, the City Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee presented the Hue City Police with a banner with the content: "Promoting the tradition of a heroic unit - Forgetting oneself for the country, serving the people - Firmly entering the era of strength and prosperity".

In addition, 2 groups and 6 individuals of Hue City Police were also awarded Certificates of Merit by the Ministry of Public Security; 5 groups and 5 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Chairman of the City People's Committee.
