Before the big festival - the 1st Congress of Long Quang Commune Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, everywhere in Long Quang is bright with bright red flags in front of every porch, clearly demonstrating the people's trust in the Party's leadership.

Secretary of the Commune Party Committee Ho Sy Minh informed: The Long Quang Commune Party Committee has 34 Party organizations, including 2 Party Committees and 32 Party cells directly under the Party Committee, with 636 Party members. During the past term, the Party Committee and the People of the entire commune have made efforts and strived and achieved quite comprehensive achievements in the fields of economy , culture - society, national defense - security.

In order for the resolution to be implemented soon, the Party Committees of the communes have previously focused on mass mobilization work, effectively implementing the mass mobilization team model and the emulation movement "Skilled mass mobilization", associated with promoting the movement of clans and villages without poor households. Building a team of cadres and Party members with the style of respecting the people, being close to the people, understanding the people, learning from the people and being responsible to the people. The Party is closely attached to the people, respecting and promoting the people's right to mastery. Thereby, the people's trust in the leadership role of the Party, management and operation of the government has been raised, together with the Party Committee and the commune government, successfully implementing the tasks of socio-economic development.

The Party Executive Committee of the communes determined to rely on the strength of the mountains and forests to promote economic development, through the project of restructuring the agricultural sector towards increasing added value and sustainable development. When the resolution was issued, cadres and party members in the commune took the lead in implementing it so that the people could follow. As a result, the total production value of the agricultural - forestry - fishery sector reached 327 billion VND, accounting for 56% of the economic structure of the commune, an increase of more than 92 billion VND compared to the beginning of the term. Agriculture developed in the direction of commodities, the value of agricultural products was increased; the commune built many specialized projects, models of applying scientific and technological advances in production, linking along the value chain.

Along with that, the locality has implemented many cultivation models to develop in the direction of increasing value and efficiency. Up to now, the planted forest area of the whole Long Quang commune is nearly 6,670 hectares (of which the forest area for large timber is 157.5 hectares, the area certified by FSC is 68.8 hectares); the average annual forest exploitation and reforestation area reaches 257 hectares. Implementing the project to develop raw cinnamon growing areas, the whole commune has planted 110 hectares. At the same time, creating a rubber production area in the villages with an area of nearly 470 hectares, an areca growing area with an area of over 48 hectares; citrus fruit trees 151 hectares; pineapple trees 21.1 hectares... bringing high economic efficiency.

Creating breakthroughs for development

Along with effectively implementing the agricultural development program, identifying infrastructure development as a breakthrough to promote socio-economic development, the Party Committees of Thuong Long, Thuong Quang and Huong Huu communes in the past and Long Quang commune today have mobilized resources, especially resources from higher levels to invest in infrastructure systems, creating strong and spacious changes. Many roads have been upgraded and renovated; inter-regional connections, promoting sustainable socio-economic development. This is the premise for Long Quang commune to focus on directing, mobilizing, and integrating resources to build and improve the criteria of new rural communes, mobilizing people to develop production, improve material and spiritual life.

Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Long Quang Commune, Nguyen Anh, shared: Although it is a mountainous commune with many difficulties, the projects "One-stop shop" and "Electronic One-stop shop" have been directed by the Party Committee of the commune to be implemented synchronously and effectively; administrative procedures are resolved on time, there are no late files under the authority of the People's Committee of the commune; the satisfaction rate of people with the service of administrative agencies is quite high. The work of publicizing and making administrative procedures transparent is carried out fully, promptly and regularly; the sense of discipline, administrative discipline, sense of responsibility, and attitude of serving the people of the staff and civil servants continue to be improved.
