Identifying the work of mobilizing and supporting women to innovate, start businesses and develop the economy as a breakthrough in implementing the Resolution of the Ha Tinh Provincial Women's Congress for the 2021 - 2026 term. From 2018 - 2023, the Ha Tinh Provincial Women's Union has launched the "Contest to support women in starting a business" 5 times.

From the effectiveness of the competitions, the Provincial Women's Union has supported the completion of 1,230 women's startup projects, of which 44 ideas/projects entered the final round of the Provincial Startup Competition; 10 ideas entered the final round of the Regional Competition organized by the Central Women's Union; 5 ideas won the Competition (second, third, encouragement) organized by the Provincial Department of Science & Technology; Mobilized over 1.2 billion VND to support the realization of feasible startup ideas.

Up to now, we have supported the establishment of 348 Cooperatives, 82 Cooperatives; 138 products owned by women achieving OCOP 3 stars or higher; over 5,000 economic models with stable income; 1 Provincial Women's Business Association; 8 "Women Entrepreneurs", "Women Start-ups", "Women Small Traders" clubs with over 300 members participating.

In 2024, the Provincial Women's Union will continue to organize the "Ha Tinh Women Start-up and Green Transformation" Contest to search for, select, and honor enterprises, cooperatives, cooperative groups, and business households owned or managed by women with outstanding initiatives in improving the production process of new products and services, and new business models using renewable energy sources, organic, clean, circular, and environmentally friendly production.

Contestants are women, cooperatives, cooperatives, and businesses owned and managed by women who have ideas and start-up business projects. Contest models must aim to not pollute the environment; not use toxic chemicals that have negative impacts on the environment and human health in farming and livestock; invest in and develop clean energy and renewable energy to replace thermal power and fossil fuels.

The Organizing Committee encourages contestants to be women from poor and disadvantaged households; women from ethnic minorities, women living in difficult areas, remote areas, areas where agricultural land has been converted; women with disabilities; women who have reformed and reintegrated into the community; women who are retired athletes... to promote disadvantaged women to be creative in starting businesses and striving to become rich legitimately.

The Organizing Committee of the Contest will start receiving entries from March 20, 2024; select entries at the Central level before April 30, 2024 and the Provincial Women's Union will select and award prizes for good entries at the provincial level on the occasion of Women's Entrepreneurship Day in September 2024.

The Contest will contribute to raising women's awareness of the green economy, while encouraging women-owned businesses and cooperatives to develop products with Vietnamese brands, contributing to spreading good values ​​to the community.
