This leader confirmed that there was a contractor who signed a contract to construct a project in the school, but the school has not paid in full because this unit does not have complete documents and procedures according to regulations.
"Before Tet, the school advanced the contractor more than 200 million VND and yesterday (March 25) there was a meeting requesting the provision of all documents, the school will immediately pay the amount of over 560 million VND. Here, the school is not refusing to pay, but has not paid because the contractor does not have enough documents," said the school representative.
According to the school leader, regarding construction finance, the school is only involved with two contractors. One contractor has been handled above and the other is currently constructing the project.
"The contractors all said they did not hang up debt collection banners and post them on social media. Through camera footage, we discovered that the hanging of the banners happened on March 19, but for some reason, on the evening of March 23 and the morning of March 24, which coincided with the school's opening of new school year enrollment, images of debt collection were posted on social media, causing negative public opinion," the school leader shared.
In response to the incident, the Dong A University branch invited the police to coordinate in verifying the person who hung the banner as well as posting the debt collection banner in front of the school gate on social media, causing a stir and confusion for the school.
Previously, on the evening of March 23, some accounts posted on Facebook images of a debt collection banner hanging outside the gate of the Dong A University branch in Dak Lak.
A contractor said the school owed hundreds of millions of dong and promised to pay next week. However, he insisted that he did not hang a banner to demand the school’s debt as posted on social media.
According to the reporter's records on the afternoon of March 24, the debt collection information has been removed from the school gate. The leader of Tan An ward confirmed that the ward has received the information and is having specialized departments discuss the incident with the school leaders.
