Today, November 15, the Office of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee announced that it had just received Notice No. 8386 from the Government Office regarding the handling of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee's proposal at the working session of General Secretary and President To Lam.

Previously, General Secretary and President To Lam visited and worked in Quang Tri province on October 15 and 16. During this working trip of General Secretary and President To Lam, Quang Tri province had many proposals and recommendations.

Notice No. 101-TB/VPTW dated October 28 of the Central Party Office on the results of the visit and work of the General Secretary and President in Quang Tri province said that the recommendations and proposals of the province were basically supported, agreed upon and agreed upon by ministries and branches.

In the spirit of creating conditions and providing maximum support to promote socio-economic development of Quang Tri province, General Secretary and President To Lam requested the Government Party Committee to direct the Government, ministries, central agencies and sectors to study and support Quang Tri province to remove bottlenecks and difficulties to continue development.

On November 15, the Government Office issued Notice No. 8386/VPCP-QHDP on handling the recommendations of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee at the working session of General Secretary and President To Lam. Accordingly, the Prime Minister assigned 4 Deputy Prime Ministers to monitor and direct the recommendations and proposals of Quang Tri.

Specifically, the Prime Minister assigned Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh to monitor and direct ministries to coordinate with the People's Committee of Quang Tri province and relevant agencies to study and propose solutions to recommendations on: building a project to develop Dao Con Co district to be strong in economy, stable in national defense and security; supporting Quang Tri province to develop the Southeast Quang Tri Economic Zone and industrial parks.

Develop mechanisms and policies to support Vietnamese enterprises to invest in production and business in Laos, especially in key areas of national security and defense in the Lao border area adjacent to Vietnam to combine economic cooperation and strengthen national defense and security; policies to support Vietnamese and Lao enterprises in implementing East-West transportation projects; support budget resources to build the National Museum "Memories of War and Aspiration for Peace" (in the form of public-private partnership); support capital from the central budget to create conditions for Quang Tri province to build the Le Duan Political School to meet standards.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha was assigned to monitor and direct the research and propose solutions to recommendations on: supporting Savannakhet and Salavan provinces (Laos) to invest in upgrading the road connecting Ban Dong (Sepon district, Savannakhet province) with Ta oi district (Salavan province); supporting resources to develop 2 infrastructures related to My Thuy International Seaport Cluster and Quang Tri Airport; reporting to the Prime Minister before December 15, 2024.

Regarding investment in the construction of the Cam Lo - Lao Bao expressway, the Prime Minister requested the People's Committee of Quang Tri province to comply with the direction of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha in Official Dispatch No. 5550/VPCP-CN dated August 5, 2024 of the Government Office.

Assign Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long to monitor and direct the research and propose solutions to recommendations on: supplementing preferential subsidy regimes for people who participated in helping the revolution and were infected with toxic chemicals and people who helped the revolution and were imprisoned by the enemy during the process of amending and supplementing the Ordinance on Preferential Treatment for People with Meritorious Services to the Revolution and related documents; consider decentralizing and delegating to localities some contents and tasks to resolve regimes and policies for some groups of people with meritorious services to the revolution.

Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son monitored and directed the People's Committee of Quang Tri province to urgently preside over and coordinate with relevant ministries and agencies to complete the pilot project of the Lao Bao - Densavanh cross-border economic and trade zone model according to the direction of the Prime Minister; report to the Prime Minister before November 30, 2024.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade shall preside over and coordinate with relevant ministries and agencies to study and propose solutions to recommendations on: developing wind power, solar power, gas power and LNG projects; developing other gas industrial facilities in the Southeast Quang Tri Economic Zone; developing green hydrogen and green ammonia projects from renewable energy sources; receiving and connecting wind power and solar power sources from Laos; Quang Tri province being the locality receiving gas from Ken Bau mine and neighboring blocks to shore in the Southeast Quang Tri Economic Zone; studying breakthrough policies in enhancing cooperation with Laos in the exploitation of minerals, coal and agricultural products.
