Petrolimex cooperates with VISA to expand digital payment solutions with co-branded cards for individuals and businesses

Hanoi, August 4, 2025, Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex/Group) and Visa held a signing ceremony for a cooperation contract to issue co-branded cards.

Petrolimex and Visa sign cooperation agreement to promote digital transformation in the petroleum retail industry in Vietnam

Attending the signing ceremony, on Petrolimex's side were Deputy Party Secretary, Board Member, General Director Luu Van Tuyen; Board Member, Deputy General Director Tran Ngoc Nam; Deputy General Director Nguyen Ngoc Tu and leaders of the Group's functional departments. On Visa's side, there were General Director of Visa Vietnam and Laos Dang Tuyet Dung; Senior Director, Head of Product Department of Visa Vietnam and Laos Utomo Kelvin; Senior Director, Head of Consulting and Analysis Department of Visa Vietnam and Laos Johnny Guyenne and professional leaders.

The signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement to promote strong digital transformation in the petroleum retail industry in Vietnam. Previously, in 2022, the Petrolimex gas station system accepted contactless Visa card payments, shortening transaction times and improving operational efficiency at points of sale.

The new co-branded card suite is designed to deliver tangible benefits to both consumers and businesses. Cardholders will enjoy a fast, secure and seamless payment experience. They will also have access to exclusive loyalty program benefits, greater financial control and easier spending management – ​​whether for everyday personal needs or for running a business with high fuel consumption.

The program includes four main product lines: Personal Credit Card, Personal Debit Card, Business Credit Card and Business Debit Card. For individual users, this is a convenient financial tool, optimizing the experience of buying gasoline. For businesses, especially those with large fleets, the Business Card set is expected to help simplify the payment process, effectively control costs and minimize operational risks.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Luu Van Tuyen - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Board of Directors, General Director of Petrolimex affirmed that the signing of the cooperation agreement to issue co-branded cards with Visa is an important step in the strategy of building Petrolimex into a leading enterprise in digital transformation, based on smart, safe, innovative technology platforms with the goal of optimizing service quality, continuing to foster trust and satisfaction of customers buying gasoline as well as business agents.

Ms. Dang Tuyet Dung – Director of Visa Vietnam and Laos, shared: “Petrolimex is an important strategic partner in the journey to promote financial inclusion in Vietnam. With this Co-branded Card program, Visa is proud to bring a safe, seamless and efficient payment solution to everyone – from individual consumers to corporate organizations – contributing to improving the financial experience in both life and business”.

This signing ceremony continues to affirm the commitment of two leading brands in the energy and financial technology sectors in promoting a cashless economy in Vietnam. In the coming time, these card products will officially be available on the market to contribute to improving user experience and bringing more value to customers.
