Mr. Nguyen Duc Tam was appointed Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment.

From the position of Director of the Department of National Economic Synthesis, Mr. Nguyen Duc Tam was appointed as Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment according to Decision No. 1199/QD-TTg signed by the Prime Minister on October 17.

On October 18, Mr. Nguyen Duc Tam, Director of the Department of National Economic Synthesis, was appointed by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment according to Decision No. 1199/QD-TTg signed on October 17.

Accordingly, the Decision takes effect from October 17, 2024 and the appointment term is 5 years.

Public investment is one of the areas that the entire political and social system is interested in, especially in relation to the issue of strong decentralization, delegation of power and simplification of administrative procedures.

Previously, Mr. Nguyen Duc Tam held the position of Director of the Department of Local and Territorial Economy. In April 2023, Mr. Tam was transferred and appointed as Director of the Department of National Economic Synthesis at the Ministry of Planning and Investment.

To date, the Ministry of Planning and Investment has four Deputy Ministers, including Mr. Tran Quoc Phuong, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc, Mr. Do Thanh Trung, and Mr. Nguyen Duc Tam./.
