Mr. Do Trong Hung ceased to hold the position of Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Council.

On October 15, the People's Council of Thanh Hoa province held the 22nd session, term XVIII, term 2021-2026 to discuss and resolve many important contents.

At the meeting, the provincial People's Council delegates agreed to dismiss Mr. Do Trong Hung from the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and delegate of the 18th Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026 due to his transfer to the Central Government according to the Politburo 's assignment.

At the same time, the delegates also considered and dismissed the position of member of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term for Mr. Le Van Dien, former Commander of the Provincial Military Command, due to retirement (retirement pending from June 1, 2024); Mai Sy Dien, former Chief Inspector of the province due to retirement to receive social insurance benefits; Pham Ba Oai, former Director of the Department of Industry and Trade due to retirement to receive social insurance benefits.

Delegates elected Mr. Vu Van Tung, Commander of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Military Command, to be appointed as a member of the 18th People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

Previously, on September 5, in Hanoi, the Central Organizing Committee held a conference to implement the Politburo's decision on personnel work.

At the Conference, Head of the Central Organizing Committee Le Minh Hung presented the Politburo's decision to transfer and assign Mr. Do Trong Hung, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Thanh Hoa province, to hold the position of Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee.
