At the mock meeting of the "Children's National Assembly" held on the morning of September 10, 2023 at Dien Hong Hall (National Assembly House), Cat Tien was trusted to take on the role of Female Chairwoman of the "Children's National Assembly". Tien impressed with her confident and professional demeanor throughout the meeting.
Through the mock session of the "Children's Parliament", children experience the activities of a real legislative body, learn and gain more knowledge about the National Assembly - the highest state power body. At the same time, children participate in practicing democratic rights, representing local voters to reflect their opinions and aspirations to the National Assembly.
Cat Tien was chosen to play the role of National Assembly Chairman in the first mock session of "Children's National Assembly".
Cat Tien shared that being selected to play the role of National Assembly Chairwoman in the first mock session of the "Children's National Assembly" in 2023 was a valuable and proud experience for Tien. To prepare for the mock session, especially the role of National Assembly Chairwoman, the student thoroughly studied the guidelines and policies of the Party, State and National Assembly that have been issued related to children.
Cat Tien also proactively researched the current situation of children; from there, it provided comments and solutions to effectively answer questions from delegates, meeting the needs of children across the country.
According to the female Chairwoman of the "Children's National Assembly", the two contents discussed at the Mock Session are "Prevention of accidents, injuries, violence, and child abuse" and "Protecting children from healthy and creative interactions on the Internet" are both practical and urgent issues in today's society. In particular, Cat Tien pays special attention to the content "Protecting children from healthy and creative interactions on the Internet".
“I pay a lot of attention to this issue, because the development of the digital age has led to many cases related to cyber security happening to children. The online environment is becoming more and more complicated and has many potential risks that negatively affect children's spirit and psychology,” Cat Tien acknowledged.

Cat Tien expressed her opinion that, in the face of the widespread images and videos of child abuse on cyberspace, there must be solutions to help children equip themselves with life skills and skills to participate in a safe and civilized online environment to protect themselves. Therefore, Cat Tien proposed that the Ministry of Education and Training strengthen education and raise awareness of online safety for children; integrate this content into curriculums and promote propaganda content for children in a more vivid and creative way.
Sharing her feelings about being in the Top 20 Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces 2023, Cat Tien could not hide her joy, happiness and pride.
Cat Tien said that this is a turning point for her to continue to try and strive, contributing more good values to the community and society in the future.
Besides her excellent academic achievements, Cat Tien also actively participates in collective activities and Team activities at school.
In addition to her admirable academic and training achievements, Dang Cat Tien is also extremely active in collective and team activities at school. She is a familiar MC in many children's programs.
"Thanks to extracurricular activities, I have become more confident and active in front of crowds. I have also learned and developed better life skills, to become more confident and no longer shy like before," Tien shared.
Discipline - the key to success
According to Dang Cat Tien, there are 3 important skills for students to balance and complete well their studies and extracurricular activities. The first is the skill of planning to complete personal goals in each specific stage. This is the "compass" that directs Tien's studies or movement activities to a main axis. Once she has a plan, Tien will clearly define her own direction and desires and gradually conquer the set goals.
The second indispensable skill is prioritizing work. The multi-talented student always knows how to arrange work according to its importance and time to complete it. Therefore, Cat Tien rarely falls into a state of stress or fatigue caused by the pressure of studying or working.
The final skill - which Cat Tien believes is the most important - is to build self-discipline. Personal discipline is extremely necessary for each person, because if you always have the habit of procrastinating, being careless; and not persistently implementing the set plan, it will be difficult to succeed.
Cat Tien believes that discipline is the most important key to each individual's success.
However, no matter how busy her schedule is, the 15-year-old girl still maintains her point of view: The greatest asset of youth is health. Although she is young, Cat Tien has realized that protecting her health is extremely important. She regularly exercises and eats in moderation to be healthier; at the same time, she creates a comfortable spirit for herself, ready to "wind up" to fight the upcoming important exam.
Talking about her family, Cat Tien confided that her greatest pride is being born into a family filled with love and understanding. Tien and her younger sister were invested in by their parents in their studies, participating in life skills courses or extracurricular classes such as swimming, drawing, and violin. The family also trained Cat Tien to be independent from a young age, hoping that when she grew up, she would become a brave, strong, independent person and walk on her own two feet.
Talking about future plans, Cat Tien said she will constantly improve and upgrade herself; at the same time, continue to promote the balance between studying and actively participating in social activities.
Cat Tien also expressed the desire to share the luck, knowledge and small understanding with young people of the same age who do not have the opportunity to access many development opportunities. From there, it creates inspiration and motivation for them to spread love and good values to the community and in their own way. Thereby, it also creates a dynamic, brave young generation, following in the footsteps of their predecessors to build a richer and better country.
