The Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management (Ministry of Health) has just issued a document guiding people to participate in the parade to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification.

Accordingly, the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management guides people on steps to prepare before, during and when in the crowd watching the parade to ensure safety and health.

Specifically, before attending the event, people should pay attention to preparing polite and neat clothes; wear shoes or sandals with straps, avoid high heels, flip-flops; bring drinks, snacks, milk, etc.; bring neat sun and rain protection accessories. In particular, people with underlying diseases, cardiovascular and respiratory diseases should limit going to crowded places.

While attending the event, do not jostle or push; do not get too excited, avoid arguing or screaming.

When an emergency occurs, people should not panic, not listen to rumors; not run in panic, push and shove; calmly listen to announcements from the organizing unit; comply with instructions from security forces and guards; observe the exits, quickly leave the dangerous area; follow the flow of people, maintain a steady posture, do not try to go against the flow of people.

In the event of being caught up in a crowd, keep your hands in front of your chest to protect your lungs and avoid suffocation; take short steps in sync with the flow of people; do not stop in the middle of the crowd; stay calm and do not scream in panic.

If you fall, protect your head, cover your head; bend over to protect vital organs, and find a chance to stand up as soon as possible.

The Department of Medical Examination and Treatment also noted that people need to prioritize safety. If you feel unsafe, leave crowded areas immediately.
