In the 85th minute, referee Do Anh Duc awarded the home team a penalty after consulting VAR. He believed that center back Dinh Quang Kiet had fouled Gia Viet in the penalty area. On the 11m mark, Pinto easily scored past goalkeeper Trung Kien to tie the score at 1-1.
The match was added 10 minutes of extra time. And in the 90+7 minute, Quy Nhon Binh Dinh Club scored the winning goal 2-1.
Goalkeeper Trung Kien rushed out to block Pinto's shot, the ball bounced back for Rodrigo Rivas to quickly shoot into the empty net. The referee had to spend quite a while watching VAR, carefully checking the situation before determining that there was no offside error by the home striker.
With this important victory, Quy Nhon Binh Dinh Club has increased the gap with the bottom team SHB Da Nang to 5 points and is only 1 point behind the team above, Song Lam Nghe An, although there is still one match left to play.
