Musician Vu Thanh An said that the purpose of this donation is for singer Ngoc Cham to use the royalties on his behalf for charity purposes, including supporting artists in difficult circumstances and honoring artistic talents.

Also on this return, musician Vu Thanh An will perform a small music night for his fans on the evening of September 9, 2023 in Hanoi.

At the copyright transfer announcement ceremony, musician Vu Thanh An read a handwritten letter stating: "In the coming time, Vu Thanh An will transfer all ownership rights (unlimited in space and time), on the global internet environment... of works owned by Vu Thanh An to the Vietnam - USA International Copyright Protection Joint Stock Company, represented by singer Ngoc Cham...".

Sharing about the relationship between himself and his student Ngoc Cham, musician Vu Thanh An said that nearly 2 years ago, he accidentally read a poem that Ngoc Cham wrote on social media, the gist of which was "I don't dare to be ambitious, but only wish for aspirations".

Reading this verse, musician Vu Thanh An said he was immediately drawn in because he could see that it was truly a great idea. It sounds like a normal saying, but it shows that the person who wrote it has a respectable humility.

The author of " You Visit Me on the 30th Night " admitted that talented people are often arrogant, and so was he in his younger years. It was from his sympathy for Ngoc Cham's verse that musician Vu Thanh An and she later developed that verse into the song "I Don't Dare to Be Ambitious" .

After this song, he and Ngoc Cham wrote several other songs, including "Autumn on That Day Looking for Each Other" and "Gorgeous Woman" . Musician Vu Thanh An did not hesitate to hope that she would not only follow him on the path of art but also in charity work, showing kindness to life.

Also on this occasion, musician Vu Thanh An shared another concern of his, which is that the music copyrights of many Vietnamese musicians are still being used "naturally" like in the US, where he lives. This causes disadvantages for musicians and does not stimulate their dedication.

Therefore, musician Vu Thanh An took on a mission to "remind" the units, programs, artists... who are "freeloading" the composer's works. These "freeloaders" should act in a civilized manner and pay the legitimate copyright benefits to the composer.
