The Russian Defense Ministry added that Ukrainian forces lost up to 540 servicemen, three armored fighting vehicles, two pickup trucks, a US-made 155mm M777 howitzer, two ammunition depots and four 122mm D-30 howitzers.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, since the start of Russia's special military operation in Ukraine, a total of 630 aircraft, 278 helicopters, 28,545 drones, 556 air defense missile systems, 16,698 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 1,390 multiple rocket launchers, 12,446 artillery and mortars, and 24,115 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.

In particular, Russia’s Eastern Task Force has improved its frontline positions, defeating the troops and equipment of three Ukrainian brigades in recent days. Russian forces have been slowly advancing through the Donetsk region in eastern Ukraine, with steady and increasing advances since capturing the key town of Avdiivka in the Donetsk region in February.

For weeks now, Ukrainian officials have reported some of the heaviest fighting along the 1,000km frontline around the Pokrovsk region. In the past week alone, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has discussed the situation in the region with senior commanders twice.
