Antony is no longer in the plans of the Old Trafford team, after the sensational transfer from Ajax in 2022.

On loan at Real Betis for the second half of last season, the Brazilian winger impressed, helping the Spanish club reach the Conference League final.

Since then, Betis have wanted to re-sign Antony. However, they do not seem to have enough money to make a permanent transfer for the €40 million that United are asking for.

Spanish newspapers said that Antony himself also wants to return to play for Betis. However, the La Liga team only discussed the idea of a loan transfer.

This forced the Red Devils bosses to give Antony an ultimatum, preventing him from waiting until the end of the transfer window to force a loan move.

MU wants to sell the former Ajax striker outright to get a fixed amount of money. Therefore, they require Antony to accept one of the permanent transfer offers from other partners, or sing "reserve life" until early 2026.

Recently, Antony has been contacted by many clubs, including the rich Al-Nassr, or the new team that coach Ten hag leads - Bayer Leverkusen.

The situation is similar to that of Alejandro Garnacho. The 21-year-old striker only wanted to join Chelsea after being dropped from the first team of MU.

Fabrizio Romano revealed that Garnacho is willing to stay at Old Trafford and refuse to play if he does not achieve his goals.
