A fisherman went missing at sea while fishing.

Previously, on the afternoon of August 7, the family reported that Mr. P.D.H. (72 years old, residing in Hoa Thuong block, Quang Phu ward, Da Nang city) went fishing at sea but had not returned home by the afternoon. At the same time, people discovered a boat about 6m long drifting to the shore of Tam Xuan commune (Da Nang city).

There was no one on the boat, but there was an identification document in the name of Mr. P.D.H. Suspecting that the victim had an accident, Tam Thanh Border Guard Station sent officers and soldiers, along with local people, to search for the victim's whereabouts.

According to Major Tran Quoc Khanh, the search force organized an all-night search. However, the victim went fishing alone, making it difficult to determine the missing person's location, so as of this morning, he has not been found.

“This morning, August 8, we mobilized more canoes and 17 officers and soldiers divided into 3 search teams. One team on a canoe searched at sea, two teams went along the coast that the unit was responsible for managing,” Major Tran Quoc Khanh added.

Currently, Tam Thanh Border Guard Station is advising Quang Phu ward to mobilize more forces and means to continue searching for the missing fishermen.
