The signing of the Service Implementation Contract between Agribank and the RAR Center contributes to promoting the close relationship between the two parties, and at the same time demonstrates that Agribank is one of the pioneering and proactive banks in deploying and promoting the application of the National Population Database in banking activities, contributing to promoting digital transformation activities in the banking sector according to the policies and orientations of the Prime Minister and the State Bank.

Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Nguyen Ngoc Cuong - Director of Department C06 affirmed: The deployment of electronic authentication service via VNeID platform is not simply a technological solution for electronic authentication and identification, but also opens up great opportunities in exploiting and creating surplus values ​​of data, laying the foundation for the extensive and sustainable development of the banking industry in the digital age. More than simply collecting information, the VNeID system facilitates data to be processed, analyzed and transformed into valuable knowledge. This not only helps banks better understand the needs and behaviors of customers, but also supports the design of personalized financial products, optimizes customer service and develops flexible business strategies. The deployment of electronic authentication service via VNeID on Agribank Plus not only supports people to conduct banking transactions more easily but also ensures information security and minimizes the risk of online fraud.

Also at the ceremony, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan - Director of the Payment Department - State Bank said: In the past time, the State Bank has directed strongly, determinedly, closely following the common tasks of Project 06 and Coordination Plan No. 01 between the Ministry of Public Security and the State Bank, issued Decision No. 2345/QD-NHNN on implementing safety and security solutions in online payment and bank card payment, including regulations on using VNeID as one of the channels for customer identification by biometrics when making online payment transactions. Along with the continuous efforts of the units, the banking industry has achieved many positive results: As of December 20, 2024, the banking industry had over 84.5 million customers registered to use online accounts, of which 61.5 million customers had performed biometric authentication.

The signing of the implementation of electronic authentication service via VNeID on the Agribank Plus application between Agribank and the RAR Center - Ministry of Public Security demonstrates the active implementation of Plan 01 between the Banking sector and the Ministry of Public Security in implementing Project 06 of the Government. He hopes that in the near future, the Banking sector will have more units signing with the RAR Center (C06) to implement this content, contributing to improving customer experience and preventing risks, ensuring security and safety for customers - clearly shaping the viewpoint of "taking customers as the center" of the Banking sector.

Closely following the Party and Government's policies and orientations on being proactive in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the National Digital Transformation Program and the Banking Industry Development Strategy to 2025, with a vision to 2030, in recent times, Agribank has focused all resources on enhancing scientific and technological innovation, aiming to promote digital transformation, develop digital banking, apply digital technology in all aspects of operations to enhance management capacity, service quality, and increase banking efficiency. With individual customers accounting for 70% of the total number of customers, Agribank is currently the largest retail bank in the Vietnamese banking system.
