The Agriculture and Rural Development Bank of Vietnam (Agribank) was established by Decree No. 53-HĐBT dated 26/03/1988 of the Council of Ministers (now the Government). Through each period of development with different names, throughout 36 years of construction and development, Agribank has always affirmed its position as one of the leading commercial banks in Vietnam, investing mainly in agricultural development, spearheading monetary policy implementation, contributing to macroeconomic stability, curbing inflation, supporting growth and ensuring social security.
