– On August 16, a working delegation of the Provincial People's Committee led by Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, inspected the implementation of a number of projects under the Project to invest in building, renovating and upgrading 3 district-level medical centers and the Project to invest in building and renovating 50 commune-level medical stations in Lang Son province in Cao Loc district.

According to the report at the inspection and implementation of the above projects, Cao Loc district is implementing the construction and renovation of the District Medical Center and the construction and renovation of medical stations in 3 communes: Thuy Hung, Phu Xa, and Hoa Cu.

Of which, the construction and renovation project of the health stations of 3 communes: Thuy Hung, Phu Xa, Hoa Cu has a total investment of over 10 billion VND. According to the contract, the project was started on June 30, 2023. To date, the construction of the Thuy Hung Commune Health Station has reached 95% completion; Hoa Cu Commune Health Station is constructing the foundation and the volume has reached about 10%; Phu Xa Commune Health Station is constructing the foundation and the volume is estimated at 13%. By the end of July 2023, the disbursement result of this project's capital source reached 32.3% of the assigned capital plan.

The Cao Loc District Medical Center project has a total investment of nearly 32 billion VND, and was started on June 23, 2023. Regarding the progress of implementation, up to now, the renovation project is completing the flooring of rooms, corridors, painting, and door installation; for the project of building a new 6-storey house, the foundation is currently being constructed; the disbursement rate has reached 30% of the contract value.

At the inspection, representatives of a number of departments, branches, Cao Loc District People's Committee, consulting and construction units focused on discussing and evaluating the progress of the projects; pointed out difficulties and obstacles in the implementation process and proposed specific solutions to overcome them.

Concluding the inspection, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that although the implementation of the projects was on schedule and according to regulations, in reality the progress of project implementation was still slow and the disbursement progress was low.

Regarding the tasks in the coming time, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the investor to strengthen project management to ensure progress, quality and labor safety; promptly grasp difficulties and problems arising and report to the Provincial People's Committee for direction and resolution; direct the contractor to concentrate human resources, machinery, equipment, synchronously deploy construction solutions, overtime, and shift work to speed up the progress of the projects; guide the contractor to fulfill the commitment on implementation progress.

Relevant departments and branches, based on their functions and tasks, continue to monitor and grasp the progress of construction works and projects; coordinate and support investors and contractors to implement construction works to ensure progress and quality, thereby striving to complete the works before December 31, 2023.
