On May 4, a delegation from Dong Nai province led by Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang visited, expressed condolences and encouraged the family of Dinh Van Kien, a forest ranger at Cat Tien National Park who was gored to death by a gaur while on patrol to protect the forest.
At the family of Mr. Dinh Van Kien, in village 3, Tien Hoang commune, Da Huoai district, Lam Dong province, Vice Chairwoman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang and members of the delegation shared the pain and great loss of the family at the passing of Mr. Dinh Van Kien.
Dong Nai province leaders hope that the family will overcome the pain and soon stabilize their lives; at the same time, they said that relevant local units are urgently coordinating with Cat Tien National Park to implement policies and regimes for Kien's family.
Director of Cat Tien National Park Pham Xuan Thinh said that the unit is currently actively coordinating with relevant agencies to promptly care for, visit and encourage Kien's family.
According to Mr. Thinh, Mr. Kien currently has a wife, 3 children and lives with his mother over 60 years old, the family's economy depends on the income from the salary of a contract forest protection employee. Normal family life is already difficult, now that Mr. Kien is gone, the family is facing even more difficulties.
Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang expressed condolences and encouraged the family of Mr. Dinh Van Kien.
During the day, the Cat Tien National Park Trade Union called on employees in the unit to contribute and support to promptly encourage Mr. Kien's family during this difficult time.
Faced with the difficult circumstances of Mr. Kien's family, on May 4, the Department of Forestry and Forestry (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment) issued an Open Letter calling on all cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers to join hands to support Mr. Kien's family.
Previously, as reported by Nhan Dan Newspaper, on May 3, while on patrol duty to protect the forest , Dinh Van Kien was gored to death by a bull in sub-area number 6, Cat Tien National Park, in Tan Phu district, Dong Nai province.
