This is the first year that Cambodia has participated in the SEA V.League, a volleyball tournament for Southeast Asian teams. However, they finished both stages with a record of losing all 8 matches.

In those matches, this team also only won a total of 4 sets. This is a disappointing achievement from the team that won the silver medal at the 2023 SEA Games.

However, through this year's SEA V.League, Cambodian volleyball also achieved small results when it was ranked 86th by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB). Before that, they were not even ranked.

On July 20, Secretary General of the Cambodian Volleyball Federation Aing Serey Piseth made indignant statements after the SEA V.League.

On his personal Facebook page, he wrote: "My most important task when letting Cambodia participate in the SEA V.League was to get the team ranked. Even though the result was quite heartbreaking, I still had to do it. All 4 other teams (Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines - PV) tried to prevent Cambodia from entering the tournament. However, I successfully solved it, and now we are on the world rankings.

Do you know that before playing against Cambodia, every team gets a day off? That's because we make them scared, like Zhuge Liang chasing Sima Yi.

Thank you to the Cambodian people, and I apologize for making everyone unhappy about volleyball."

A few days ago, after losing to Thailand, Mr. Aing Serey Piseth posted a status with many emotions: "I am so tired and depressed. I will temporarily leave volleyball for a few days to take care of my family."

In recent years, Cambodian men's volleyball has achieved many successes. The current President of the Cambodian Volleyball Federation is Mr. Sar Sokha, who is also the country's deputy prime minister .

The Cambodian men's volleyball team won the bronze medal at the 31st SEA Games and the silver medal at the 32nd SEA Games. In addition, the team also participated in the 19th Asian Games in China.
