This SUV model may be named the new Land Rover Defender Sport 2027. The car has now entered the real testing phase and has been spotted many times while testing on the street. Based on the prototype images, Kolesa has sketched detailed images of the car so that users can visualize it more clearly.

Accordingly, the front of the Land Rover Defender Sport SUV stands out with headlights that resemble the current Defender but are reduced to fit the smaller size. The traditional grille is now removed, replaced by new-style air intakes, accompanied by a redesigned front bumper with large air vents on both sides.

The bodywork retains its powerful stance with flared wheel arches at both the front and rear. The wing mirrors and pillars are painted black, creating a contrasting effect with the bodywork, a familiar detail on recent Land Rover models.

The rear of this new SUV has low-set taillights, right above the rear bumper, which many people think of as the style of the new generation Hyundai Santa Fe. The overall size of the Defender Sport will likely be similar to the SUV from Korea.

The compact Land Rover Defender EV will be built on Jaguar Land Rover's all-new EMA (Electric Modular Architecture) platform, which will support an 800V electrical architecture that will enable super-fast charging at up to 350kW.

In addition, the Defender Sport EV is expected to be equipped with a standard all-wheel drive system, using a dual-motor configuration to maintain off-road capability, which is an indispensable DNA of the Defender line.

The EMA platform will also be used for future models such as the Range Rover Evoque, Velar and the next-generation Land Rover Discovery Sport. The Land Rover Defender Sport EV is expected to launch in 2027 as a 2028 model.
