Including the BYD Tai 3 plug-in hybrid four-wheel drive model. At the same time, Tai 3 is also a model that BYD registered for industrial design protection in Vietnam in March 2025. Therefore, it will not be surprising if this electric car model is also sold in Vietnam in the future. |

In Chinese, the name "Tai" means titanium. It is therefore no surprise that the Tai 3 has a sturdy and somewhat heavy design inspired by armored vehicles. The most prominent feature is the wide flared wheel arches with deep undercuts to accommodate angular wheel arch covers. The wheel arch covers are connected to the aggressive front bumper cover. |

Next is the dual LED daytime running lights, similar to the turn signals integrated into the rearview mirror housing. The vertical grille, trapezoidal front/rear bumpers, slim taillights and a horizontal opening luggage compartment door are also equipped on the car. On the trunk door there is also an additional storage box imitating a spare tire in the style of an off-road vehicle. |

Under the hood is a 151-liter front trunk that can be opened via a button integrated into the grille. Inside, the Tai 3 is more traditional, with familiar Bao details such as a large steering wheel, tank-shaped gear lever and crystal switches. |

Of course, the Tai 3 wouldn't be a BYD product without technology. It features a 15.6-inch central touchscreen, DiSus-C adaptive suspension, and God's Eye C advanced driver assistance system. It even comes with a DJI drone. As the name suggests, the Tai 3 is the smallest model in Fangchengbao's lineup. |

The car has dimensions of length x width x height of 4,605 x 1,900 x 1,720 mm and a wheelbase of 2,745 mm. Compared to its predecessor Bao 5, the car is 285 mm shorter, 70 mm narrower and 200 mm lower while the wheelbase is 55 mm shorter. This is also the first model of Fangchengbao to use a monocoque chassis with MacPherson front suspension and 5-link rear suspension. |

Not only that, Tai 3 is also the first model of Fangchengbao to own RWD rear-wheel drive. The car has only one electric motor, producing a maximum capacity of 218 horsepower and a maximum torque of 310 Nm. Thanks to that, the car can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 7.9 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 201 km/h. |

The AWD version of the car has an additional electric motor at the front, providing a maximum capacity of 150 horsepower and a maximum torque of 200 Nm. This version has a total capacity of 421 horsepower and a torque of 510 Nm. This power allows the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. |

The Tai 3 is powered by BYD's Blade lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery with a capacity of 65.28 kWh in the RWD version and 72.96 kWh in the AWD version. Both provide a driving range of 501 km on China's CLTC test cycle. The maximum DC fast charging capacity is 195 kW in the RWD version and 215 kW in the AWD version, allowing for a charge from 30% to 80% in 18 minutes. |
