(BL-DH) On the morning of March 31, the National Defense and Security Education Council of Military Region 9 held an online conference to summarize the work of National Defense and Security education in 2024 and deploy directions and tasks for 2025. The conference was connected to the bridge points of the provinces in the Military Region.

In 2024, the entire Military Region 9 organized training and updated knowledge of national defense and security for over 600 classes, with more than 47,000 people, reaching over 118%, exceeding the set target; National Defense and Security Education Centers taught National Defense and Security Education to more than 28,000 students; political schools, intermediate schools, high schools, and Continuing Education Centers taught National Defense and Security Education to more than 400,000 people.

Speaking at the conference, Lieutenant General Nguyen Xuan Dat - Commander of the Military Region requested that in the coming time, units, localities and schools continue to organize well the training of national defense and security knowledge for the subjects. Pay attention to consolidating, upgrading and investing in facilities, equipment, teaching models, training grounds, training grounds, specialized classrooms, meeting the requirements and tasks of teaching the subject of National Defense and Security Education... to raise awareness and responsibility in the political system and the entire population for military and defense tasks, building and protecting the Fatherland.

On this occasion, the Military Region 9 Defense and Security Education Council awarded certificates of merit to 21 collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing defense and security education work in 2024.
