Accordingly, the delegation inspected the implementation of disease prevention and control measures for livestock in the province; the development of plans, local budget allocation and implementation of national programs and plans for prevention and control of terrestrial animal diseases; the review of livestock herds and vaccination of local animals; monitoring, detection and handling of outbreaks, and the construction of disease-free facilities and areas. In particular, the delegation also grasped the difficulties and shortcomings in the implementation of disease prevention and control and proposed solutions to overcome them.

On this occasion, the delegation also inspected the rabies vaccination work in Loc Ninh commune (Dong Hoi city); at the same time, requested the provincial Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine to continue to promote propaganda work so that people can proactively implement rabies prevention measures, actively coordinate rabies vaccination for dogs and cats; strive to achieve a vaccination rate of over 80% of the total herd.

It is known that as of March 25, the whole province has injected 1,650 doses of foot-and-mouth disease vaccine for cattle, 3,030 doses of anthrax vaccine for cattle, 25 doses of lumpy skin disease vaccine, 1,650 doses of foot-and-mouth disease vaccine for pigs, 13,305 doses of classical swine fever vaccine, 279,540 doses of avian influenza vaccine, and 10,954 doses of rabies vaccine for dogs and cats.
