Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong’s family is near-poor. Ms. Hong lives with her husband, Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa (70 years old) and her eldest son, Nguyen Van Khanh (45 years old). Ms. Hong has heart disease, Mr. Hoa has thyroid disease, and Mr. Khanh lost his right leg in a bomb or mine accident when he was 13 years old.

Mrs. Hong and her husband are in poor health and have no jobs. Meanwhile, the whole family relies on an unstable income from Khanh’s job as a tailor and his disability allowance, so life has been very difficult for many years.

Understanding the situation of Ms. Hong's family, the Central Business Bloc, Quang Tri Provincial Youth Union, Vietnam Youth Union of Quang Tri province, Agribank Quang Tri supported 50 million VND, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cam Lo district matched 10 million VND for Ms. Hong's family to build a new house.

“My husband and I have 3 children. The second son and daughter are both married. However, the second son has a serious illness, and the daughter is raising 4 children alone. The house we are living in was built with support from the Plan Project in 1997, but is now seriously degraded. Today, with the funding support from agencies and organizations to build a house, we are very happy,” Ms. Hong shared.
