Groundbreaking ceremony of resettlement project in Quang Trach

Quang Trach is one of 35 communes and wards of Quang Tri province where the project passes through and is one of 3 localities selected to start the resettlement project this time. The project has a total investment of 136 billion VND, the total length of the project passing through the commune is about 4km, with over 170 households affected. The resettlement area is expected to be built with a total area of nearly 8 hectares, including 48 resettlement plots and 79 interspersed plots. This is a project of special political , economic and social significance, not only directly serving the project implementation process but also meeting the legitimate aspirations of the people for a new, stable and long-term place to live.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Standing Committee Member, Head of the Provincial Party Committee Inspection Committee Ho Thi Thu Hang affirmed the importance of the project and emphasized: To have a site for the project, a part of the people had to give up their land and relocate their residences where they had been attached to for many generations. Therefore, the construction of a synchronous, spacious resettlement area with full essential infrastructure is the responsibility and also the deep gratitude of the Party, State and local authorities to the people in the project area.

Respectfully acknowledging and praising the efforts and determination of the Party Committee, the government, relevant agencies and units, especially the consensus, sharing and support of the people in the project area, comrade Ho Thi Thu Hang affirmed that this is an important factor for the project to be implemented on schedule, ensuring quality and becoming a model residential area of the province. She requested the investor and construction unit to concentrate highly, organize the construction to ensure quality, labor safety and environmental protection. Departments, branches, agencies and localities continue to accompany and promptly remove difficulties for the project to be implemented smoothly. People in the project area continue to agree, support and join hands to build a rich and beautiful homeland.
