The Ring Road 2 project is about 11 km long, including the following main items: Construction of the section from Tan Vu intersection - Hai Thanh bridge and Hung Dao section - Bui Vien street; Construction of the section from Provincial Road 353 - Hung Dao; Construction of Hai Thanh bridge over Lach Tray river; Construction of the overpass at Bui Vien intersection.

In addition, there are also technical infrastructure items for traffic, drainage, lighting, and resettlement areas in Duong Kinh district.

This is a special-grade group A traffic project with a total investment of 7,439 billion VND. The construction site is in the districts of Hai An, Duong Kinh and Kien An (all in Hai Phong City).

Previously, Nguoi Dua Tin published the article Why did Hai Phong spend 7,400 billion VND to build Ring Road 2? with the content: At the 18th Session, the People's Council of Hai Phong City, term XVI, 2021 - 2026, passed 34 resolutions. Including the Resolution on changing the purpose of using rice land from 2 crops or more, with a scale of 10 hectares to less than 500 hectares to implement projects in the areas of 3 districts of Hai An, Duong Kinh, Kien An and Tien Lang district.

This resolution attracted the attention of many Hai Phong residents because the City People's Council allowed the conversion of the purpose of 42.48 hectares of rice-growing land in the three districts of Hai An, Duong Kinh, and Kien An to implement the Ring Road 2 Project.

Currently, transport vehicles, mostly container trucks, run from the port cluster area of Hai Phong City (Hai Phong Port, Chua Ve Port, Dinh Vu Port, Lach Huyen Port...) mainly along Bui Vien, Nguyen Van Linh, Nguyen Binh Khiem routes to National Highway 5, National Highway 10 and inter-provincial routes.

The Ring Road 2 project in Hai Phong City is 11 km long.

These routes are mostly overloaded, often causing local traffic jams during rush hours. In addition, container trucks running day and night pose a risk of environmental pollution, traffic safety and affecting the lives of people in the area.

It is expected that when the Ring Road 2 Project is completed, it will help divert container trucks away from the city center to avoid traffic congestion, reduce the risk of traffic safety and environmental pollution.

In addition, the route will shorten the journey, reduce the travel time from Hai Phong port cluster to National Highway 5, National Highway 10 and other inter-provincial routes. Thereby, bringing economic efficiency to businesses, promoting the development of Hai Phong's seaport economy.
