Regarding the case of emergency treatment of child MTA according to information reported by the press: "The hospital requires enough money to provide emergency treatment for the child who was run over by a tractor" at Nam Dinh Provincial General Hospital on May 3, 2025; through the work of grasping the situation of patients being treated at the National Children's Hospital, the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management, Ministry of Health has sent a document to the Director of the Department of Health of Nam Dinh province.
The document of the Ministry of Health requested the Director of the Department of Health of Nam Dinh province to urgently direct the review of the process of receiving and treating emergency cases of MTA at Nam Dinh General Hospital, comparing it with the provisions of Article 44, Law on Medical Examination and Treatment No. 15/2023/QH15 and current regulations; strictly handle individuals and groups if violations of the above regulations are detected. At the same time, coordinate with the National Children's Hospital to detect professional limitations (if any) and promptly correct them.
The Ministry of Health requests the Director of the Department of Health to urgently direct and implement the above contents; report the results to the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management before May 6, 2025 for synthesis and reporting to the Ministry's leaders.
Previously, on the evening of May 3, a 2-minute clip about an incident that allegedly occurred at Nam Dinh Provincial General Hospital was circulated on social media.
According to the clip, a man saw a child having an accident with a homemade tricycle, so he helped and took the child to the emergency room.
However, when this person brought the child patient to Nam Dinh General Hospital, the medical staff required that the full hospital deposit be paid before providing emergency care to the child./.
