On the morning of August 19, the atmosphere in front of the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace ( Hanoi ) became bustling from dawn. Although the virtual reality experience program "Returning to Sacred Moments" officially opened at 8am, thousands of people were present early, patiently lining up in the rain to wait their turn to enter the door.
In front of Tran Binh Trong gate - the official check-in point of the event, lines of people stretched hundreds of meters. The sudden downpour could not stop the large crowd.
Some people carry umbrellas, some wear raincoats, some prepare snacks and drinks to wait to experience the exhibition "Returning to the sacred moment".
“I thought there would be fewer people when it rained, but it was still packed. Luckily we had prepared raincoats, food and drinks so we wouldn’t get tired from waiting for so long,” said Ngoc Ha (from Hai Phong ).
Not only young people, many families also brought their children to attend. Ms. Tran Bao Ngan, from Ninh Binh shared: “I learned about the program through social networks and registered for tickets early. This is a special occasion, both meaningful and emotional, so standing in the rain is not a problem. Just being able to immerse myself in that sacred atmosphere is enough.”
According to the Organizing Committee, most of the audience registered for tickets online. When arriving at the check-in point, they had to provide personal information such as phone number, email, full name for confirmation, then they were allowed to move into the exhibition area at the National Broadcasting Center (58 Quan Su).
All attendees are required to bring their ID or use the VNeID app for verification. Children accompanied by adults must present identification documents.
The event “Returning to Sacred Moments” organized by the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) is open to the public free of charge. This is an activity in the series of celebrations to mark the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day September 2 and the 80th anniversary of VOV’s establishment.
Using virtual reality technology, audiences have the opportunity to relive the historic moment of September 2, 1945 at Ba Dinh Square, when President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.
As planned, the exhibition will be open from 8am to 9pm on August 19 and 20 at 58 Quan Su; then from August 28 to September 5, it will continue to serve the public at Dong Hoi National Exhibition Center (Dong Anh, Hanoi). The Organizing Committee encourages participants to use public transport or technology vehicles to reduce traffic around the area.
