Tourists can now buy train tickets on the Vietnam Travel app - Vietnam Travel

This is an activity to celebrate the anniversary.   80 years of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025); at the same time , contributing to concretizing the cooperation program between the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and Vietnam Railways Corporation that has been signed. In particular, the two sides will strengthen cooperation in digital transformation to improve the quality of service and experience of tourists by rail. Integrating the digital transformation systems of the two sides, creating favorable conditions for tourists to use the services and utilities of the railway industry on the application of the tourism industry.

With   With the national tourism application "Vietnam Travel", tourists can use a variety of utilities such as looking up tourism information, digital tourism maps, buying airline tickets, booking rooms, buying sightseeing tickets, shopping for goods, managing tours, reporting to authorities...

In order to continue to innovate and improve features, bringing convenience to tourists, Vietnam Travel application has now integrated the train ticket purchasing feature. With just a few touches on the phone screen, tourists can conveniently book tickets for their train journey. With a direct connection to the official ticketing system of Vietnam Railways ( VNR ), booking tickets on the application ensures that trip information, ticket prices and seats are always accurate and transparent, just like when buying tickets at the train station.

Steps to buy train tickets on Vietnam Travel app:

Open the Vietnam Travel application, go to "Train tickets". Then, search and select a train : Enter departure point - destination, departure date, round trip (if any). The application displays a list of trains, seat/bed classes, departure times and ticket prices according to data from VNR.

Reservation   and   Enter passenger information :   Tourists   Select seat/bed on visual train map. Provide passenger information as requested (full name, ID number, invoice information if required).

Online payment via VNPAY :   Integrate safe and convenient VNPAY payment gateway. Supports many methods: bank card, QR code, VNPAY, e-wallet...

Get e-ticket :   Tickets are issued as electronic QR codes immediately after successful payment.   Electronic tickets are as valid as tickets purchased at the counter and are accepted by Vietnam Railways ticket inspectors when passengers board the train.

After successfully purchasing tickets, visitors can go to   Manage purchased tickets : Search for tickets in the "History" section. Support ticket exchange/return procedures according to Vietnam Railways regulations.

The feature of buying train tickets on the Vietnam Travel application will bring many conveniences to tourists when traveling by train, thereby contributing to stimulating tourism demand, affirming the connection and close cooperation between the tourism industry and the railway industry.
