The workshop was organized by the Department of Science and Technology of Binh Dinh and the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Binh Dinh in coordination with the Vietnam Rencontres du Sciences Association and the ICISE Center.
Attending the event, on the part of the organizing committee were: Dr. Le Cong Nhuong, Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Binh Dinh; Ms. Ha Thi Thanh Huong, Deputy Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Binh Dinh chaired the event. In addition, there were reporters who were experts and scientists; delegates from departments and branches in Binh Dinh province; companies, enterprises, and units operating in the environmental field inside and outside the province.

The workshop aims to create conditions for state management agencies and relevant units to consult with experts, in order to build a scientific basis for implementing a plan to classify waste at source, collect and treat according to new standards. The proposed solutions will contribute to the implementation of the Law on Environmental Protection 2020 nationwide from January 1, 2025.

Within the framework of the workshop, scientists shared international and local experiences in the management and treatment of domestic solid waste. The speakers proposed potential solutions, suitable for the specific conditions of Binh Dinh province, to achieve the goal of effective and sustainable waste management.

This event marks an important step forward in raising awareness and environmental management techniques in Binh Dinh, contributing to the sustainable development of the province as well as the whole country.
