Google's AI technology will help Honeywell bring automation to customers.

The partnership will combine Google's Gemini engine - the company's most advanced AI technology - with Honeywell's industrial data collected through its Forge platform to automate tasks and reduce project lead times in an industry that continues to struggle with a labor shortage.

AI tools will help automate tasks for engineers, warehouse workers and technicians, with the first AI-powered solutions reaching Honeywell customers in 2025.

Honeywell is a multinational financial corporation, headquartered in North Carolina, USA. They mainly operate in four business areas: aerospace, building technologies, materials and performance technologies (PMT) as well as solutions for improving productivity and occupational safety (SPS).

Honeywell is ranked 94th out of 100 on the Fortune 100 (2021) list - the top 100 companies by total revenue as ranked by Fortune magazine. The company has a global workforce of approximately 99,000 employees, down from 113,000 in 2019. The current chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) is Darius Adamczyk. The company's current name, "Honeywell International Inc.", is the product of the merger of Honeywell Inc. and AlliedSignal in 1999.

Currently, Honeywell Group has 2 branches in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

“The path to automation requires working harder, people working smarter and processes working more efficiently,” said Vimal Kapur, president and CEO of Honeywell.

With the new automated agent built on Google's Vertex AI platform, automated tasks will help reduce project design cycles and users can process a variety of data types such as images, videos , text, and sensor metrics, Honeywell said.

Honeywell, which is trying to capitalize on the recent boom in AI technology, said it is aiming to reduce maintenance costs, increase operational productivity and “upskill employees” through partnerships for its customers.
