Concluding the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha emphasized that storm No. 5 is still very strong and has just begun to affect the mainland. It is necessary to resolutely implement the viewpoint of "not being subjective or negligent, but proactively taking precautions". The Deputy Prime Minister requested that localities continue to review and evacuate people from dangerous areas; especially Thanh Hoa and Nghe An must send leaders directly to the mountainous areas to direct response to the storm and post-storm circulation.

The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the military and border guards to quickly deploy the “4 on-the-spot” policy, and requested that provinces be ready to requisition vehicles and equipment from state-owned and private enterprises to respond to and overcome the consequences. The work of controlling dams and protecting people’s property must be carried out strictly and promptly, avoiding passive and unexpected situations.
