Shooter Trinh Thu Vinh won the Bronze Medal at the 2025 Asian Shooting Championship

Of the four Vietnamese shooters participating in the qualifying round, only Trinh Thu Vinh made it to the finals with 581 points. Shooters Nguyen Thuy Dung (575 points), Nguyen Thuy Trang (573 points), and Nguyen Thi Huong (561 points) did not make it to the finals.

In the final, after the shots, Trinh Thu Vinh won 29 points, ranked third, and received a bronze medal. This is Trinh Thu Vinh's first individual medal at the 2025 Asian Shooting Championship.

At the same time, she won her first medal in the women's 25m pistol event at the Asian Championships. The champion of the event was Chinese shooter Zhang Yueyue (39 points) and the runner-up was teammate Xiao Jiaruixuan.

Previously, Trinh Thu Vinh participated in the women's 10m air pistol event but did not win a medal.

Currently, the Vietnamese shooting team has won 1 gold medal, 1 silver medal and 3 bronze medals in the following events: Gold medal in the 10m air rifle for young women (Nguyen Thi Mai Chi); Silver medal in the 10m air rifle for young men (Ngo Huu Vuong, Nguyen Tuan Anh and Ho Ly Thanh Dat); Bronze medal in the 10m air rifle for young women (Le Thao Ngoc); Bronze medal in the 10m air rifle for young women (Nguyen Thi Mai Chi, Le Thao Ngoc, Duong Ha My); Bronze medal in the 25m air rifle for women (Trinh Thu Vinh).

The next events for men's pistol will continue, and Vietnamese shooters are expected to achieve the highest results. The tournament will close on August 29 local time.
