On the occasion of the 26th anniversary of Vietnam Day for People with Disabilities April 18 (1998 - 2024), this morning April 16, in Dong Ha City, the Association of People with Disabilities, Agent Orange Victims, Support for People with Disabilities and Protection of Children's Rights (PWD, NNDC, BTNKT & BVQTE) of the province in collaboration with the Institute for Community Development Studies (ACDC) organized the first Quang Tri Province Arts Competition for People with Disabilities - 2024 with the theme "Hearts of Aspiration".

Participating in the program, 9 teams from 9 localities across the province brought 18 unique and joyful performances. These were dances and songs about the great Uncle Ho, the glorious Party; praising the homeland, the country, the spirit of national solidarity; plays on topics related to people with disabilities...
Many touching performances truly touched the hearts of every audience watching the program. The contest is a useful playground, meeting the needs, aspirations and rights to participate in cultural and artistic activities of people with disabilities. At the same time, it encourages people with disabilities to confidently express their talents and abilities in composing and performing arts, enriching the cultural and spiritual life of people with disabilities.
Through the contest, the organizers hope to contribute to changing social awareness about the ability of people with disabilities to contribute to cultural life, remove barriers, and create conditions for people with disabilities to integrate into the community.
As a result, the organizing committee awarded 1 first prize to the team from Trieu Phong district; 1 second prize to the team from Huong Hoa district; 2 third prizes and 5 consolation prizes to the remaining teams.

Within the framework of the program, the organizers presented 100 gifts with a total value of 105 million VND to disabled people in difficult circumstances in the province.
Information from the Association of the Disabled, NNDC, BTNKT & BVQTTE of the province added that on the occasion of the 26th anniversary of Vietnam Day for People with Disabilities, the Provincial Association mobilized a total of 200 million VND in cash and gifts to give to the disadvantaged in the province.
