On the afternoon of March 28, a 7.7 magnitude earthquake in central Myanmar severely affected this country and neighboring countries such as Thailand and Vietnam. In particular, the capital Bangkok of Thailand was declared a disaster area.

Former Thailand national team captain Kiatisuk Senamuang was also in his home country when the earthquake struck. Zico posted a video on social media taken by his wife of the moment the chandelier on the ceiling shook violently.

Coach Kiatusuk wrote: "We were on the 16th floor and had to escape quickly by stairs. I'm still in shock. Hope everyone is safe."

Several other Thai football figures also faced similar situations during the Bangkok earthquake. Thailand coach Masatada Ishii also had to run down from the 15th floor and did not forget to bring necessary items such as a spare charger.

The Japanese strategist posted a picture of himself holding his personal luggage and recounted the moment the earthquake happened and he escaped from the apartment building:

"Thank you everyone for your concern. When the shaking started, I thought it was over, but I still managed to pack up my things and quickly run down from the 15th floor to evacuate outside. I'm currently waiting outside the apartment building and I'm safe, so don't worry."

The impact of the earthquake originating in Myanmar may cause some matches in Thai League 1 and some sporting events to be postponed. In Vietnam, some areas such as Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City also recorded the effects of the earthquake.
