During the 2025 Lunar New Year holidays, the working atmosphere at the Thanh Hoa Port Customs Branch (Thanh Hoa City) was serious. The Branch has assigned officers and civil servants into 3 shifts to handle customs procedures for businesses. This assignment ensures the performance of assigned tasks while creating conditions for officers and civil servants to enjoy spring and celebrate Tet with their relatives and families.

According to Mr. Ngo Van Thanh, Head of Thanh Hoa Port Customs Branch, all customs procedures are handled electronically, creating convenience and maximum time and cost savings for businesses. Preliminary statistics from the beginning of the holiday to the morning of the 3rd day of the Lunar New Year, the branch opened more than 500 customs declarations with import and export turnover reaching millions of USD. Similarly, Nghi Son Port Customs Branch (Nghi Son Town) has assigned officers and civil servants to handle customs procedures.

Maintaining staff on duty 24/7 to handle procedures has helped goods clear customs quickly. While many businesses registering to open customs declarations at this branch are foreign enterprises, they do not take a break for the Lunar New Year. In 2024, the budget revenue through the Nghi Son Port Customs Branch will reach more than VND 20.3 trillion, accounting for the majority of the revenue of the Provincial Customs Department. In addition to the main revenue from crude oil import tax, revenue from imported raw materials for production of factories in the Nghi Son Economic Zone and export goods will also increase. At the Na Meo International Border Gate (Quan Son), during the Lunar New Year holidays, there are still many import and export goods, passengers, and vehicles entering and exiting the country. The Na Meo International Border Gate Customs Branch has assigned officers and civil servants to be on duty 24/7 to ensure quick processing of customs procedures. At the same time, it coordinates with the border guards to control vehicles and passengers entering and exiting the country.

Meanwhile, border security was ensured at the maximum level. Customs authorities used sniffer dogs and many technical devices to promptly detect taxable goods and prohibited goods hidden in luggage and means of entry and exit.
