On the afternoon of August 20, the Ministry of Industry and Trade inspected the power supply work on the occasion of National Day, September 2.
Hanoi Electricity Corporation (EVNHANOI) said that the Corporation has issued a plan to ensure absolute safety, continuity, stability and quality of electricity throughout the capital during National Day.
The forecast maximum load (Pmax) is 5,266 MW, the largest Pmax is estimated at about 100,000 MWh/day. From 10pm on August 26 to 6am on September 3, EVNHANOI will not cut power on the grid, unless there is a force majeure incident.

Key locations such as Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ba Dinh Square, Hanoi People's Committee, cultural, sports and mass media agencies are provided with power from two grid sources or backup generators.
Particularly important locations are also equipped with UPS systems to ensure absolute safety. Operation and troubleshooting teams are on duty 24/7.
EVNHANOI has inspected, reviewed and repaired underground construction damage on 17 routes serving the parade, including Vo Chi Cong, Kim Ma, Nguyen Thai Hoc, Tran Duy Hung, Trang Tien streets...
Places to welcome international guests such as the Presidential Palace, the National Assembly Building, the Central Party Office, the Government Office, and many large hotels have all had their power supply increased safely.
In addition, Noi Bai and Gia Lam airports are supplied with electricity from specialized transformer stations, which have been tested and found to meet safety and stability requirements.
According to statistics, as of August 19, 19 out of 35 events serving the ceremony took place, all of which were guaranteed electricity by EVNHANOI, ensuring absolute safety.
In the coming time, for the main events at Ba Dinh Square, in addition to the existing transformer station system, EVNHANOI will install additional 250 - 500 kVA generators, 120 - 150 kVA UPS for LED screens and command centers.
During the events, the Corporation arranged for on-duty staff. The total number of on-duty shifts during this time was 5,167.

According to Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hoang Long, in order to ensure absolute safety in the supply of electricity to critical loads and activities, units need to continue to carefully review plans, including backup plans; establish a coordination mechanism for operation and information between the Ministry of Industry and Trade and electricity units and related units from central to local levels.
