Google CEO Sundar Pichai has confirmed plans to integrate its AI assistant Gemini into cars and smartwatches. This will be done through the Android Auto platform for cars and the WearOS operating system on wearable devices.

Additionally, he also mentioned that tablets and headphones will be upgraded from Google Assistant to Gemini in late 2025.

"We're upgrading the Google Assistant on mobile to Gemini, and later this year we'll upgrade it for tablets, cars, and connected devices like headphones and watches," Pichai said during Alphabet's (Google's parent company) Q1 financial report.

Google has not provided any specific information about the roadmap or how Gemini will operate on these platforms. However, the new move is considered a reasonable and predictable step.
