On the morning of November 14, the 10th term of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council held its 19th session (special session). At the session, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai presented a report on the dismissal of Mr. Huynh Van Hanh, former Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Justice (retired from October 1, 2024), from the position of member of the 10th term of the City People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

The delegates of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council unanimously voted to dismiss Mr. Huynh Van Hanh from the position of member of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.

At the meeting, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai submitted a proposal to add Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Hanh, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Justice, to the position of member of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, term X, 2021-2026.

The proposal of the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee was unanimously approved by the delegates of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council and voted. As a result, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Hanh, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Justice, was elected as a member of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Hanh was born in 1974, from Binh Thuan, has a master's degree in Law, a bachelor's degree in Politics, and a senior degree in Political Theory. She is a delegate of the 15th National Assembly.

Ms. Hanh has worked at the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Justice since 2003 and has held the position of Deputy Director of the Department since March 16, 2018. Previously, she held the position of Head of the Organization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Justice.

In October this year, she was appointed Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Justice.
