The athletes compete in 6 weight categories: 54kg (age group 17-18), 57kg (age group 17-18), 46kg (age group 19-40), 51kg (age group 19-40), 57kg (age group 19-40). The goal is to win 2 medals, including 1 gold medal. According to coach Le Hung, the most anticipated athlete is athlete Tran Van Huyen competing in the 51kg weight category (age group 19-40). In the opening match, the athlete from Dong Hoa town won a match and will meet the athlete from Thanh Hoa in the second match of the tournament, before aiming for the gold medal as set by the coaching staff.
In 2025, Boxing strives to win at least 5-7 medals of all kinds for Phu Yen high-performance sports at national tournaments.
