According to the Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Vietnam's foreign information work has gone through a long journey with many proud achievements, especially in recent years. Emphasizing that the country and people of Vietnam are standing on the threshold of history, in that context, Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia clearly stated that foreign information work is identified as an important part of the political, ideological and foreign affairs work of the Party, State diplomacy, and people's diplomacy. This is a regular, long-term task of the entire political system, under the leadership of the Party. Foreign information work needs to promote innovation, encourage initiatives in propaganda and promotion of Vietnam, effectively exploit the achievements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Foreign information needs to continue to affirm the historical mission of cultural traditions, the noble ideological values of the Vietnamese people; bring national soft power to new heights by positioning the position of Vietnam as an autonomous, confident, self-reliant, self-reliant, proud nation with humanity, building an increasingly better world, taking people's lives as the center, taking the nation's overall strength as the basis to write the story of Vietnam in the new era, the new era. Looking back on the 10-year journey of formation and development of the National Award for Foreign Information, Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia affirmed that the Award has gained prestige, position, and status and has gone beyond the territory of Vietnam with an increasing number of foreign authors and works; believing that the Award will continue to have new developments, serving increasingly effectively the work of foreign information, creating a solid foundation to step into a new era with the whole country. The Organizing Committee of the 10th National Award for Foreign Information has received 1,289 entries. The categories of printed newspapers, electronic newspapers, Vietnamese and foreign language electronic information pages, and television still lead in the number of entries to this year's Award. The themes of this year's entries continue to cover all important political, foreign affairs, cultural events, etc., and the country's achievements in all fields; information on the Party and State's guidelines, policies, especially current development priorities such as science and technology, digital transformation, green economy, etc.; introducing and promoting the beauty of the country, people, and cultural values of Vietnam. The forms of expression are diverse and modern, actively using new media (for products/works in the video clip category). The works/products of foreigners demonstrate a deep, positive, multi-faceted vision of Vietnam's foreign affairs activities, of Vietnam's relations with countries in the region and the world, of the attractiveness of Vietnam as an interesting destination, of Vietnam's history and long-standing culture. Notably, in addition to the popular languages participating in the award in previous years, this year new languages appeared such as Arabic, Italian, Sinhala, etc. Based on the award rules, the Award Council selected 109 best works/products to award. Of which, there were 10 first prizes, 20 second prizes, 30 third prizes, and 49 consolation prizes. *Participating in the 10th National Award for Foreign Information, Vietnam News Agency won 2 first prizes, 4 second prizes, 5 third prizes, and 6 consolation prizes.
