The Standard Chartered Hanoi Heritage Marathon is scheduled to take place on the first weekend of November every year, with the running route passing through famous heritages and landmarks in Hanoi's Old Quarter.

This is the first time Standard Chartered has been the main sponsor of a large-scale marathon in Vietnam.

The Standard Chartered Hanoi Heritage Marathon held in 2024 is an important event in the activities to celebrate Standard Chartered's 120th anniversary of presence in Vietnam.

The Standard Chartered Hanoi Heritage Marathon will be the 10th marathon in the world-famous Standard Chartered Marathon system with the aim of honoring endurance, solidarity, efforts to overcome limits and apply international standards.

Held annually since 2018, the Hanoi Heritage Marathon is an official race of Hanoi City, a member of the Vietnam Athletics Federation and the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS).

The race features a unique running route, standardized by AIMS A-class experts, passing through famous heritages and landmarks, including Hoan Kiem Lake, West Lake, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, and the Old Quarter.

The race includes a variety of distances for runners of all levels, from full marathon (42.195 km) to half marathon (21.097 km), 10 km and 5 km.
