Gasoline prices fall after two consecutive increases

Gasoline and oil prices both decrease from 3pm on August 14

Specifically, the price of E5RON92 gasoline is not higher than VND 19,354/liter (a decrease of VND 254/liter compared to the current base price), VND 530/liter lower than RON95-III gasoline.

RON95-III gasoline is priced no higher than VND19,884/liter (down VND190/liter compared to the current base price). Diesel 0.05S is priced no higher than VND18,077/liter (down VND723/liter compared to the current base price). Kerosene is priced no higher than VND18,020/liter (down VND640/liter compared to the current base price). Fuel oil 180CST 3.5S is priced no higher than VND15,268/kg (down VND379/kg compared to the current base price).

From August 1, the two largest petroleum market players, Petrolimex and PVOIL, will pilot the sale of E10 gasoline - a biofuel mixed with 10% ethanol in mineral gasoline. Petrolimex will pilot the sale of this gasoline in Ho Chi Minh City, while PVOIL will deploy it in Hanoi and Hai Phong. This is the first step in the nationwide transition to green fuel, expected to begin in 2026.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade , the world oil market in the past 7 days has been affected by many factors such as the US delaying the application of higher reciprocal taxes on China, and OPEC+ deciding to increase oil production in September.
