Türkiye has been among the world's top gold consumers in recent years as its severe inflation crisis has pushed bullion demand well above the global average. But demand is set to decline by 2025 due to persistently high gold prices and the growing appeal of silver, according to the latest data from the Turkish Stock Exchange. Gold imports into the country fell to 4.34 tonnes in July, down 53.5% from June and the lowest since April 2023. Imports in the first seven months of the year totaled 72.09 tonnes./.
