Rice prices today, April 15, 2025 in the Mekong Delta region did not fluctuate much. The market volume was low, some raw rice and fresh rice items increased and decreased in opposite directions compared to the weekend.

Regarding rice, according to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, the price of OM 18 rice (fresh) increased by 100 VND/kg, fluctuating at 6,800 - 7,000 VND/kg; the price of OM 380 rice (fresh) increased by 100 VND, fluctuating at 5,900 - 6,000 VND/kg; the price of OM 5451 rice (fresh) decreased by 100 VND/kg, fluctuating at 6,200 - 6,300 VND/kg; the price of Dai Thom 8 rice (fresh) fluctuated at 6,900 - 7,000 VND/kg; the price of IR 50404 rice (fresh) fluctuated at 5,800 - 6,000 VND/kg; the price of Nang Hoa 9 rice fluctuated at 6,550 - 6,750 VND/kg.

In many localities today, dry rice transactions slowed down, traders with dry rice stocks offered for sale but little was purchased in warehouses; fresh rice transactions were slow. In An Giang and Can Tho, fresh rice transactions continued to slow, prices fluctuated slightly. In Long An, demand was low, and transactions were slow.

In Kien Giang, the quantity is low, the source of Hon Dat rice is decreasing, the price has little fluctuation. In Bac Lieu, the price of fresh ST rice is high, many areas of fragrant rice have been pledged, and traders are slow to buy.

Similar to rice, according to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, currently, raw rice IR 504 increased by 50 VND/kg, fluctuating at 7,900 - 8,050 VND/kg; raw rice OM 380 decreased by 50 VND/kg, fluctuating at 7,700 - 7,850; raw rice 5451 fluctuated at 9,600 - 9,750/kg; finished rice OM 380 fluctuated at 8,800 - 9,000 VND/kg; finished rice IR 504 fluctuated at 9,500 - 9,700 VND/kg.

As for by-products, the price of by-products ranges from 6,600 - 9,000 VND/kg. Currently, broken rice 3-4 ranges from 6,650 - 6,800 VND/kg; bran price ranges from 8,000 - 9,000 VND/kg.

Recorded in localities today, small quantity, IR50404/OM380 rice transactions are slow, prices fluctuate little. In An Giang, warehouses buy little, prices are stable. In Lap Vo (Dong Thap), in small quantity, large warehouses buy and sell slowly, prices fluctuate little.

Sa Dec market canal (Dong Thap), small quantity, warehouse purchases are still slow, prices are stable. At An Cu (Cai Be, Tien Giang), quantity is sporadic, mostly general rice, warehouse purchases are slow, prices fluctuate little.

At retail markets, the prices of all types of rice remained unchanged compared to the beginning of the week. Currently, Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price of VND28,000/kg; regular rice fluctuates at VND15,500 - 16,000/kg; long-grain fragrant rice fluctuates at VND20,000 - 22,000/kg; Huong Lai rice fluctuates at VND22,000/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice fluctuates at VND18,000 - 20,000/kg; Nang Hoa rice fluctuates at VND22,000/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice fluctuates at VND21,000/kg; common white rice fluctuates at VND17,000/kg; Soc regular rice fluctuates at VND18,000/kg; Soc Thai rice is priced at VND21,000/kg; Japanese rice is priced at VND22,000/kg.

In the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices remained unchanged compared to yesterday. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), currently 5% standard rice is at 397 USD/ton (down 2 USD/ton); 25% broken rice is at 369 USD/ton; 100% broken rice is at 317 USD/ton.
