Gia Lai proposes to withdraw many overdue investment projects that have not been implemented

On July 22, at the 2nd session of the 12th Gia Lai Provincial People's Council, the Gia Lai Provincial People's Council's supervision delegation reported the results of supervising the implementation of opinions and recommendations after thematic supervision sessions.

In particular, regarding the topic of monitoring the implementation and deployment of investment calling projects of Gia Lai province in the period of 2018 - 2022, the monitoring delegation recommended reviewing and revoking overdue investment projects.

Specifically, the monitoring delegation requested that the authorities review all investment calling projects that have had investment policy approval decisions for the 2018-2022 period and have not been implemented yet, and if no extension is requested, they should be revoked.

According to the report of the Provincial People's Committee, in the period of 2018 - 2022, the Provincial People's Committee issued 7 decisions approving the list of investment attraction projects with 314 projects. However, currently the total number of proposed lists to retain and continue to call for investment attraction in the period of 2024 - 2026 is 50 projects, eliminating 264 projects because they are no longer suitable for the planning.

At the time of monitoring, some investment calling projects had decisions approving the policy in the previous phase that had expired, no extension was requested, and no request for withdrawal was requested.

Specifically, the province has issued a decision to cancel the preliminary selection results and proposed a roadmap for implementing investment calling procedures for two projects on growing, processing and exporting high-tech vegetables, fruits and eggs, and a project on a high-tech clean vegetable and seed production center.
