Strictly implementing the direction of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises, from the end of 2023 and the beginning of 2024, Vietnam Electricity Group has developed power supply scenarios and implemented synchronous and effective solutions, so from the beginning of 2024 until now, power supply has been well ensured, EVN has no plans and has not implemented reductions in customers' electricity demand.

Recently, there was some information that "Vietnamese authorities called on some businesses in the North to voluntarily reduce 30% of electricity usage", this information is incorrect.

In June and the following months of 2024, the Group has updated the growth in electricity demand and has developed plans and scenarios for operating the power system to ensure electricity for economic development and people's lives in all situations.

To help the Group successfully complete its assigned tasks, Vietnam Electricity Group respectfully requests that customers continue to pay attention and cooperate in implementing the economical, safe and efficient use of electricity, especially in the period from now until the end of 2024, especially the customer groups in Directive No. 20/CT-TTg dated June 8, 2023 of the Prime Minister.
