Expected to allocate over 2.2 billion VND to implement the FMCR Project in 2024

Standing Vice Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong has just signed a decision approving the 2024 implementation plan of the Forestry Modernization and Coastal Resilience Enhancement (FMCR) Component Project of Quang Tri Province.

Accordingly, from 2019 to 2026, the project will be implemented in 27 communes of the districts of Vinh Linh, Gio Linh, Trieu Phong, Hai Lang and Con Co island district with a total capital of 11,737 thousand USD, equivalent to 277.78 billion VND.

Of which, the IDA loan from the World Bank (WB) is 9,266 thousand USD and 2,471 thousand USD from counterpart funds. In 2024, the expected allocated capital is 93.59 thousand USD, equivalent to 2,215 billion VND to implement the components: Development and restoration of coastal forests; Creating sustainable benefits from coastal forests; Project management, monitoring and evaluation.

It is known that in 2023, the project disbursed 91,615 billion VND/93.94 billion VND, reaching 97.53% of the assigned capital plan, including the undisbursed capital in 2022 that was allowed to be extended to implementation in 2023.
